The closure, for South West Water to carry out trial holes, covers the stretch from the B3165 junction to Halstock entrance.

It started on September 14, and works are expected to finish by September 26.
Drivers can detour via the B3165 and A3052, with questions about the works directed to South West Water at 03443 462020.
Pettycrate Lane in Chideock also closed from September 14, for flood prevention works by Dorset Council.
The section between Langdon Hill junction and 135 metres west will be out of bounds to vehicles.
This closure is similarly set for 18 months but should end by October 2.

In South Perrott, Picket Lane will be shut from September 28, for a National Grid supply upgrade.
The closed section spans from the Manor Close junction to Bellamy Farm, with vehicular diversions signposted via Chedington Lane, Village Road, and the A356.
The order applies for 18 months, though the work should be completed by October 7.

Victoria Grove in Bridport is another affected roadway, to close on September 28.
The short approximately 35-metre stretch between West Street junction and Martin and Company will be closed for an SGN gas main replacement.
The work is anticipated to be completed by October 9.
An alternative route will be marked using Coneygar Road, the A3066, and the B3162.

All closures are enforced under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, providing safe working zones and minimising risk to highway users.
Each order is legally enforceable, with contravention liable to a summary conviction and a fine up to £1,000.
