A dance adaptation of The Odyssey will be performed at an estate as part of Bridport Youth Dance's 25th birthday celebrations.

The show, titled 'Choreography Geography - The Homecoming', intertwines the tales of Circe and Odysseus, played by Eliza Groves and Henry O'Dwyer respectively.

It will be performed on the Upper Lawn at the Symondsbury Estate on Friday, August 28.

The show, produced by Nikki Northover, with ticket prices at £10 for adults, £7.50 for children, and free for those under five years old.

Audience members are encouraged to bring foldable chairs, rugs, and picnics to the performance.

The event is part of an outdoor programme that takes dance into local rural and coastal landscapes.

Founded by Nikki Northover in 2001, Bridport Youth Dance (BYD) provides an after-school dance education programme, an initiative for emerging artists, and a community outreach programme.

BYD has been supported by Bridport Town Council, Dorset Council, Vicary and Co, Nantes solicitors, Bridport Ladies Circle, Bridport Charities, and one anonymous angel.

The site-specific performance will be held at 2pm and 6pm.

Tickets are available from Bridport Tourist Information Centre on 01308 424901 and online at the Bridport Youth Dance website.
