The closure affects various roads in Uploders, including C68, between its junction with Well Plot and 51 Uploders, a distance of approximately 1,195 metres.
It also includes New Road, between its junction with C68 and Sweetbriar Farm, a distance of approximately 675 metres.
It came into operation on August 10 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by September 11.

This order will enable Wessex Internet to carry out installation of ducting for fibre cable.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Meanwhile, Dorset Council has also confirmed the formalisation of existing 'no waiting at any time' restrictions on various roads in Bridport.
When the order comes into operation on August 14 the effect of the order will be to formalise existing lengths of no waiting at any time along various lengths of roads in Bridport.
