National Highways Limited has announced upcoming road and lay-by closures in Bridport for the Carnival Torchlight Procession.

The event is set for Sunday, August 23, and will see the A35 Bridport Bypass closed from the Eype Down Road junction to East Road Roundabout.

The lay-by adjacent to the A35 Bridport Bypass will also be shut.

The closure, from 9 pm to 10.30 pm, is planned for road safety.

Diversions will be in place via junctions of the A35 and local roads.

All closures will be clearly marked with traffic signs.

The road order, effective from August 21, will last up to one month, though the closure is expected only during the procession.
