A museum in Dorset has received funding for restoration work.

Beaminster Museum has received £250 from the Society of Dorset Men to aid the restoration of its early 19th-century stained-glass windows.

The museum, an entirely volunteer-run establishment since its inception in 1995, houses a collection of exhibits with a strong local focus.

The museum, located in a former Congregational church, is subject to specific building regulations due to its listed status, which can increase repair costs.

Consequently, the museum appreciates financial support from various sources.

The museum expressed its gratitude to the Society of Dorset Men for their contribution to this particular project, as well as for their general support of the museum's activities.

The donation was transferred by bank, and a letter of thanks was sent to the Society upon receipt.

The presentation of the letter was captured in a photograph featuring Society Committee member Douglas Beazer, Museum Chairman Richard Smith, and museum volunteers.
