An environmental organisation is encouraging people to recycle their old Halloween costumes at a dedicated event.
The 'Give and Take' event, hosted by Little Green Change in partnership with Bridport Library and Bridport Town Council, is taking place at Bridport Library from 10am-1pm on Saturday, October 18.
During the event, members of the public are encouraged to come along and choose a free Halloween fancy dress outfit for their child or children, and to bring any spooky costumes that their child no longer wants or fits into to add to the clothing rail.
Items donated should be clean and in good condition.
The Little Green Change Halloween Give and Take rail will remain at Bridport Library until Halloween night.
Clare Matheson, Founder and Director of Little Green Change said: "We want as many people to benefit from this event and clothing rail as possible. It is estimated that more than 2,000 tonnes of plastic waste is generated by Halloween costumes each year, so actions like this are really important. Choosing pre-loved can help both the planet and your wallet, so it's a no-brainer."
Little Green Change is currently collecting children's fancy dress costumes, clothing, small toys and kids' books for their Give and Take events, which also includes their annual Children's Christmas Give and Take in Lyme Regis on Sunday, November 30.
If you would like to arrange a donation collection from Bridport, Lyme Regis, Charmouth or Axminster, contact Little Green Change directly or see their website for more information: littlegreenchange.com
