ROADS in the Broadwindsor area are to be temporarily closed for road maintenance works to be carried out.
Part of the B3162, the road between Broadwindsor and Bridport, will be shut between its junction with Yarn Barton and the entrance to number 27, a distance of approximately 2,465 metres.
Meanwhile part of the B3163, the road between Broadwindsor and Beaminster, will be closed between its junction with Redlands Lane and the entrance to Barrowfield, a distance of approximately 2975 metres.
The traffic order for both of the temporary closures will come into force on October 31 and it is anticipated that the work will be completed by November 15.
The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
There will also be a parking suspension and clearway in place on affected work areas of the B3162 and the B3163.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
