A woman was pulled to safety in a major rescue operation in Lyme Regis.
Coastguard and lifeboat rescue teams were called out to reports of a woman who was reported to be in difficulty in water off Lyme Regis.
She was helped to safety by a nearby vessel and was passed into the care of South Western Ambulance Service.
The incident happened at about 8.35am on Wednesday, September 18 but details have just been released by the Lyme Regis coastguard earlier this week.
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard: "A woman reported to be in difficulty in the water off Lyme Regis was helped to land by a nearby vessel on September 18.
"The alarm was raised at about 8.35am and Lyme Regis Coastguard Rescue Team was sent. The woman was passed into the care of South Western Ambulance Service."
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 09.38am on Wednesday, September 18 to an incident in Lyme Regis.
"We sent one double-crewed ambulance, and an operations officer to the scene.
"We conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Dorset County Hospital."
