Mystery knitters have donated a ‘wonderful’ gift to a west Dorset fire station.
The anonymous knitter or knitters dropped off a large box of ‘Trauma Teds’ to Bridport Fire Station.
These teddies are carried on fire engines and given to children who may have been involved in an emergency situation that the fire service have attended.
Each bear also comes with information for parents and carers, pointing them in the direction of support that is available if the child needs it.
The team at Bridport Fire Station are now sending the bears off to their headquarters so that they can be matched with a card and sent out to various stations.
A spokesperson for Bridport Fire Station said: “A big thanks to the mystery knitter(s) who dropped these wonderful Trauma Teds off at the station to be used across our service.
“We carry teddy bears on our fire appliances and each bear has accompanying information for parents and carers that signposts to support for the children following the incident, if needed.
“We’ll send these off to headquarters so that they can be matched with a card and sent out to various stations.”
