A new festival is coming to Bridport to encourage holistic wellbeing.
The free Health and Wellbeing Festival will take place at the St Mary’s Church Hall on South Street in Bridport. Starting at 10am, the event will run through until 5pm.
A wide variety of professional holistic therapists will be available to offer help, give advice and guidance to the public on aspects of improving their health.
Therapies featured will include reflexology, Bowen Therapy, herbal medicine, nutrition and many more. Many of these therapists practice locally to Bridport and some of the therapists will also be providing taster sessions.
The event is being organised by an enthusiastic core group of volunteers who form part of Bridport Health and Well Being.
Inspired by The People’s Health Alliance idea of encouraging and motivating people to lead healthier lives to reduce the load on the NHS, it was founded last year.
There will be stalls selling a variety of products from creams, herbs, mushrooms and seaweed items to preowned books on all types of complementary medicine.
Local shops, The Dorset Pedlar and Natural Life, will also be supporting the event with a stall.
Healthy refreshments will be available during the day.
