A VILLAGE road is to be temporarily closed to enable tree works to be carried out.
Court Hill in Corscombe will be shut between its junction with Pound Hill and its junction with Norwood Lane, a distance of approximately 90 metres.
This closure order will enable Hardy Tree Surgeons Ltd safe access to carry out tree works.
That stretch of Court Hill will be closed from August 15 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed by August 21.
The road will reopen over the weekend.
The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
