Travellers who had set themselves up at a field in Bridport have been moved on.
They had positioned themselves at Asker's Meadow in Bridport before being issued with a legal notice to leave.
This is the same area where the Bridport Beer Festival will be held.
Eight to ten caravans were seen in the area by local residents.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Dorset Police received a report at around 9.50am on Tuesday, June 11 2024 of an unauthorised encampment at Asker’s Meadow in Bridport.
"Officers attended and the group was issued with a direction under section 62a of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 to vacate the site.
"The group subsequently left the area at around 1.30pm."
