Bridport Carnival organisers are on the lookout for young royalty to represent the town.

Those aged from eight to 16 are invited to head along to the Ivy House at Groves Nurseries on West Bay Road, Bridport on Sunday, June 30 at 4.30pm.

Judges will observe entrants working on a fun activity, learning a dance and have a friendly chat.

The winner, along with two attendants, will be centre of attention on the Bridport Carnivals Royal float during the procession on Saturday, August 17 and again leading the iconic torchlight procession on Sunday, August 18.

Last year Millie Frampton, aged 13, took the hotly contested title accompanied by her two attendants Delilah Rayner, aged 11 and Ava Hook, aged nine.
