A sea shanty evening has raised hundreds for local charities.
During a special evening of entertainment from the Bridport Broadsides, £400 was raised for the National Coastwatch Institute (NCI) and the Beaminster Community Bus service.
Families and friends of the Beaminster Masonic Lodge attended the charity event and were even treated to a meal.
A cheque of £200 was presented to Wanda Blake who was at the event representing the National Coastwatch Institute and an additional £200 cheque was presented to councillors Chris Turner and Alan Dawkins of Beaminster Town Council who were representing the Community Bus service.
A spokesperson for the Beaminster Masonic Lodge said: “Both organisations thanked the lodge for their support and said how appreciative they were of this help.
“The Chairman of the Lodge, David Craddock, thanked the singers for the most entertaining evening and everyone for attending to which everyone said how much they enjoyed the evening.”
