A HORSE was rescued by firefighters after becoming stuck in a ditch in Dorset.
Fire crews from Beaminster and Weymouth managed to quickly rescue the horse from the ditch which had filled with water.
A vet was also present offering advice to firefighters at the incident near Powerstock today (May 2) at around 10.05am.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “A crew from Beaminster and our technical rescue team from Weymouth responded to reports of a horse stuck in the river and was unable to get out.
“When our crews arrived, they made quick work of preparing the equipment and then with the assistance from the vet on scene, they managed to get the horse out of the ditch that had filled with water.”
