The body of a man was discovered on a popular west Dorset beach.
Police, coastguard and ambulance teams all attended the death of a man at East Beach, West Bay over the weekend.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and enquiries were carried out on the day.
The man’s family were informed, and the coroner was also notified.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 9.53am on Sunday, April 28, that the body of a man had been found on the beach at West Bay.
“Officers attended, with HM Coastguard and the ambulance service, and carried out enquiries at the scene. The death is not being treated suspicious and his family was informed.
“The coroner was also notified. Our thoughts are with the man’s loved ones at this difficult time.”
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 9.48am on Sunday, April 28 to an incident in West Bay.
"We sent an operations officer and a double-crewed land ambulance to the scene."
