Two people have been charged after an aggravated burglary in west Dorset.
It is reported that, at around 4.12am on Saturday, April 27 a man and woman forced their way into the Spar convenience store on Orchard Way in Mosterton.
According to police, the pair were in possession of a hammer and stole multiple items.
Two victims, a man and a woman, both sustained injuries during the incident which police say are not believed to be serious.
A full investigation into the incident was carried out by detectives from Dorset County CID and a cordon was put in place as enquiries were carried out.
Following the enquiries, a 34-year-old man from Poole was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit a non-dwelling burglary, actual bodily harm, and driving not in accordance with a licence.
A 46-year-old woman from Bridgwater in Somerset was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit a non-dwelling burglary and allowing her vehicle to be driven without insurance.
Both are to appear at Taunton Magistrates’ Court today (Monday, April 29.)
