Several pets in Dorset are looking for their forever homes, including at the Ashley Heath Animal Centre.
Located on the border with Hampshire, the centre offers care for its animals in rural surroundings.

Roxy
Gender - Female
Age - Nine years old
Breed - Border Terrier
Colour - Tan

Roxy is described as a "very friendly and playful" dog who has a lot of energy.
She walks well on a lead, and although she walks well around most dogs she prefers her own space and doesn't always appreciate others coming too close.
Roxy is looking for an active home where she will have company through the day initially.
Once settled into her new routine she may be comfortable to be left for short periods.
Pipsqueak
Gender - Female
Age - One year old
Breed - Domestic Shorthair crossbreed
Colour - Ginger

Pipsqueak came into the care of the RSPCA from a large multi-cat household and is described as quite a nervous animal.
She is looking for a quiet, adult-only home with adopters who have an understanding of cat behaviour.
It will be important for her to be able to choose when she wishes to interact with people and when she doesn't.
The RSPCA adds: "In the right home and given routine and predictability Pipsqueak could make a great companion but adopters must be prepared that this may take time."
Bruno
Gender - Male
Age - 10 years old
Breed - Boxer
Colour - Brindle and White

Bruno is described as a "senior gentleman with a youthful spirit" and is in search of a peaceful retirement home.
He may appear reserved initially, especially when meeting new people, as he appreciates a hands-off approach.
Bruno values patience from those around him, preferring to initiate contact on his terms.
The RSPCA adds: "Experienced individuals familiar with boxer dogs or with managing arthritic changes in dogs would be well-suited to provide Bruno with the care and companionship he deserves."
Frank
Gender - Male
Age - One year old
Breed - French Bulldog
Colour - Black and White

Frank came into the care of the RSPCA after he was found tied to a fence with his possessions after his owner could no longer keep him.
He has required some surgery to correct a slipping kneecap as well as to widen his nostrils, so he is now quite anxious about vet visits.
This will require extra management to help him cope in the future.
Frank is described as a "playful and affectionate" dog who enjoys cuddling up on the sofa.
Ideally, he would go to a new home as the only pet there and with children who are teenagers or above.
Smokey
Gender - Female
Age - Two years old
Breed - Lionhead Lop
Colour - Grey

Smokey is a rabbit who is looking for a home with an existing neutered male rabbit to gradually introduce her to and become a bonded pair.
She came into the care of the RSPCA as her welfare needs were not being met, and was initially underweight but is now progressing well.
The RSPCA adds: "If you are interested in adopting a rabbit from RSPCA Ashley Heath you would need to have accommodation already in place. A pair of rabbits will require unrestricted access to a space measuring 6ft by 10ft, totalling 60 square feet."

Sapphire
Gender - Female
Age - Three to six months old
Breed - Lionhead crossbreed
Colour - White

Sapphire came into the care of the RSPCA after being found in a property with over 100 rabbits.
She is looking to live with an existing neutered male rabbit and to be gradually introduced to become a bonded pair.
Sapphire can be a little nervous and would appreciate a home that can give her the time and patience to build her confidence.
