A vehicle flipped onto its side after a crash on the coast road yesterday evening.

Near to the Larkfield Holiday Park at Burton Bradstock, two vehicles crashed into each other leaving one on its side.

Dorset Police and Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue (DWFRS) responded to the incident which happened on Saturday, April 13.

At the time of the crash, the fire service said the road was 'impassable' whilst the emergency services dealt with the crash.

Thankfully no one was trapped in the vehicles and firefighters gave the occupants first aid on the scene. It is not yet known how serious the injuries being treated were.

A spokesperson for DWFRS said: "We received a call at 6.40 pm, just one appliance from Bridport attended a two vehicle road traffic collision, with one vehicle on its side.

"There were no people trapped in the vehicles and our crews gave first aid and the vehicles made safe.

"Two units from Dorset Police also attended."
