Road maintenance from Dorset Council will see a temporary road closure put in place in Lyme Regis.

Mill Lane will be shut to traffic from 7.30am until 5pm starting from Monday, April 15, with the work anticipated to be completed by Thursday, April 18.

Vehicles will be able to use the road outside of these times in the evenings.

There will also be parking restrictions put in place along Mill Lane in its entirety which will be indicated by signs on the road.

The public notice will also impose a clearway, as indicted by signs on site to prevent waiting on the highway.

The Notice is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

For more information about the work being undertaken and access arrangements, call Dorset Highways Operations on 01305 228100.
