THERE'S going to be limited parking at a popular tourist hotspot over Easter.

The parking fields at Hive Beach at Burton Bradstock which act as the overflow car park will remain closed over the Easter period due to flooding, according to site owners the National Trust.

This will mean there will be limited parking space at the main beach (hard surface) car park during this period.

Additionally, this car park may need to close for short spells throughout the day, to allow the car park to clear.

The National Trust have said that the reason for this is that the parking fields ‘need a little longer’ to dry out following what they described as a very wet winter.

The website shows that the car park will still remain open over the weekend between dawn to dusk for visitors, charging £4 for two hours.

A spokesperson for the National Trust said: “Our parking fields will remain closed over Easter giving us very limited parking space.

“We may need to close for short spells during the day to allow the car park to clear. This is after a very wet winter and they need a little longer to dry out.”
