A fire broke out at a Bridport town centre business.
Three fire engines from Bridport and Lyme Regis fire stations and a supporting officer were called to a fire at a business in East Street today (Tuesday, March 19), at around 11.42am.
The incident involved a small fire within a ground floor office space and was confined within a computer system.
The fire was able to be extinguished by removal of the computer system.
A spokesperson for Bridport Fire Station said: “Both pumps from Bridport Fire Station and a pump from Lyme Regis Fire Station, along with a supporting officer were mobilised to a fire at a business in Bridport town centre.
“The fire was contained to a computer system and was extinguished by removal.”
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from Bridport and Lyme Regis were called to a commercial premises on East Street, Bridport at 11.42am this morning.
"The incident involved a small fire within a ground floor office space and was confined to a computer – firefighters removed it from the premises."
The stop, which means that no further assistance is required, came in at 12.05pm.
