An Easter-themed trail is planned to take place along a stretch of west Dorset beach.

The National Trust is creating a nature inspired trail for families to take part in over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend at Hive Beach, near Burton Bradstock.

The trail takes place from Friday, March 29 until Monday, April 1 from 10am until 3.30pm, with the last entry at 3pm.

It will cost £3 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and a dairy or vegan and Free From chocolate egg.

The trail will start and end at the National Trust hut at the entrance to the car park.

A spokesperson for the National trust said: "Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. Come along and explore the beautiful coastal scenery of Hive Beach.

"The trail at Hive Beach encourages you to be active and imaginative, looking out for things in the area and spotting wildlife whilst enjoying a lovely country walk.

"The area can be quite exposed and could be very muddy underfoot if the weather is wet so please dress accordingly."
