One person has been taken to hospital after being rescued from their vehicle on the A35 at the Dorset and Devon border.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash near the Hawkchurch turn off at Monkton Wyld that saw emergency services rush to the scene.
One person has been taken to Dorset County Hospital with non life-threating injuries, whilst another person was treated for injuries at the scene,
The collision had caused delays to traffic in both directions as the emergency services attended the incident, but the road has now reopened upon recovery of the two vehicles.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles at Scotts Lane, Monkton Wyld, at around 12.15pm today, Monday, January 29.
"Emergency services attended the scene.
"One person was extracted from their vehicle and was taken to Dorset County Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
"The driver of the other vehicle was treated at the scene.
"The vehicles have been recovered and the road was clear at around 1.55pm.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 12.03pm on Monday, January 29, to a road traffic incident on the A35.
"We sent one double-crewed ambulance, and we conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Dorset County Hospital.”
