TWO people have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences after a raid of a property in Bridport.

Police officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and the Force Support Group (FSG) carried out a warrant under section eight of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) at an address in Gore Cross Way and an address in Doctor Roberts Close at around 9am on Wednesday, January 24.

During the warrant, officers located and seized large quantities of class B drugs, cash, cigarettes and vapes.

A 46-year-old local man and a 33-year-old local woman were arrested on suspicion of possessing with intent to supply class B drugs. They are currently in police custody as the investigation continues.

Sergeant Michael Brown, of Bridport Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We will not give up on pursuing those who are suspected of being involved in the supply of illegal drugs in our area.

“We know that reported drug-related activity has a detrimental effect on our communities, and we value any information from members of the public that helps us to build an intelligence picture.
