Traffic has begun to move after a broken down vehicle has been removed along a stretch of the A35.
The major west Dorset route was partially blocked in both directions causing heavy traffic due to the broken down vehicle near the Bellair Junction in Morcombelake.
Drivers between the A3052 at Charmouth to Tizards Knap near Morcombelake were experiencing delays but traffic is now easing after the vehicle was removed.
Dorset Police attended the incident to allow for a safe recovery of the vehicle.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: "At 2.12pm on Wednesday, December 27 2023, Dorset Police received a report of a broken-down vehicle on the A35 close to the Bellair junction in Morcombelake.
"Officers were in attendance and the vehicle was safely moved off the road to await recovery at 2.53pm."
