A CARAVAN was destroyed in a fire just off the A35 early this morning.
At around 4am this morning two fire crews from Bridport were called to a caravan well alight in a track off the A35, near the Shipton Gorge turn-off.
A spokesperson for Bridport Fire Station said: "Both pumps were mobilised to a caravan fire on the A35.
"On arrival crews found one caravan well alight in a track just off the A35.
"The fire was extinguished using 2 hose reel jets and 2 breathing apparatus wearers.
"Police also attended."
