A fire broke out at a property in Toller Porcorum this morning.
Two fire crews from Bridport were called to the blaze in a utility room at a property on High Street at 11.48am.
The utility room was on the ground floor. The fire service says that the occupants were safely outside when they arrived.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: "We were called to a property on High Street, Toller Porcorum at 11.48am this morning, Friday, December 8 for a fire in the ground floor utility room.
"Two crews from Bridport attended and four breathing apparatus wearers used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. The occupants were safely out of the house when we arrived."
The stop message, meaning that the situation is under control and no more resources are required, was given at 12.33pm.
