Roads across Dorset remain closed with more heavy rain set to fall throughout the day.

Slyers Lane, near Dorchester, remains closed in both directions due to flooding caused by the River Frome bursting its banks earlier in the week,

The closure is in place from the Frome Whitfield turn off to the B3150 London Road.

Bockhampton Lane is also closed to traffic between Knapwater and the West Stafford turn off at Lower Bockhampton, and will not reopen until at least Friday, December 8.

Further north, Lower Road in Stalbridge is shut to traffic coming from both directions due to the flooding from Springfields to Hargrove Cottages.

There is flooding near Axminster on the A358 Chard Road both ways near Smallridge turn off.

Flood warnings remain in place all along the River Frome from Maiden Newton down to Wareham, and a yellow weather warning is also in place for large parts of Dorset for Thursday, December 7.

Delays are also now being seen along the A35 between Bridport and Dorchester due to flooding as of 13.43pm between Compton Valence turn off (Kingston Russell) and Littlebredy turning (Winterbourne Abbas).

Fog was also making driving conditions trickier between Askerswell and Long Bredy which also had lots of surface water.

Reports have also been coming in that the Jurassic Coast Road has water across the road between Bridport and Burton Bradstock at Marsh Barn.

The coast road also had lots of surface as of 11.30am  at West Bexington through to Abbotsbury.

The road was closed on Monday, December 4 due to parts of the road at Burton Bradstock being completely flooded.
