An art group in Morcombelake is inviting visitors to its latest exhibition.

Morcombelake Art Group (MAG) is hosting its Summer Art Exhibition from August 25 to 28 between 10am and 4pm at the James Hargreaves Community Hall.

The ‘Paint and Print’ exhibition is open to the public with the opportunity to view many original paintings and prints and they can even purchase framed art, unframed art and cards.

Caroline Crawford, a member of the group, said: “Everyone at MAG is really friendly and supportive and we are proud and excited to share our work with the public.

“Our members have worked so hard to put together this exhibition for the local community and we really hope many people will have the opportunity to visit this year.”

Members will be on hand throughout the exhibition to discuss different printing techniques and answer questions, with refreshments also provided.

The artists have a range of artist experience, with some showing their work publicly for the first time at the exhibition.

In addition to the many original paintings and prints, visitors will also have the opportunity to see the artists’ sketchbooks.

MAG is a small artists’ co-operative, and the members emphasize the importance of mutual encouragement and support to develop their skills, as well as sharing resources, such as the printing press.

There is some parking located beside the hall, or alternatively the venue is a five minute walk from the bus stop outside Art Wave West.
