Motorists and residents are reminded the A35 remains closed overnight this week as works continue.
National Highways says its contractors are carrying out a variety of essential maintenance work along the A35 between Axminster and Bridport under overnight weeknight closures.
The work involves resurfacing, retexturing, gully and vegetation clearance, asset replacement, such as signage, and road stud renewal.
To enable the work, the A35 has been closed on weeknights between 8pm and 6am for just over two weeks, catching some drivers out.
Maintenance work started on June 12 and is taking place along a number of specific sections of the A35 between Axminster and Bridport, and the work is scheduled to finish on Friday before work, under overnight closures, concentrates on the Bridport to Dorchester section of the A35 between July 3 and July 11.
It means Bridport to Axminster will close again tonight, between 8pm and 6am tomorrow, and overnight closures continue until Friday.
Unfortunately that won't be the end of the disruption for anyone living or driving in the direction of Chideock.
Further roadworks are to be carried out on the A35 for five months after a landslip was identified.

The road stabilisation project will see one lane closed on the dual carriageway Chideock Hill.
Work will begin on Monday, July 3, with traffic management installed on Friday under the scheduled overnight maintenance closure.
The landslip has been identified on land adjoining the A35 to the west of Chideock.
