Firefighters were called to a car engulfed in flames early this morning.
At 5.35am this morning a fire crew from Bridport Station was called out to a small car that had caught fire on Doctor Roberts Close just off South Street in Bridport.
Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which was confined to the engine bay.
A spokesperson for the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue says that the car was 50 per cent destroyed by the fire.
