Summer evenings in west Dorset are to become even more special as local musicians line up to play in the beautiful garden of a country pub.
The Spyway Inn at Askerswell will launch 'Saturday Sundowners' next week.
A range of local acts will take to the pub's stunning beer garden to perform on Saturday evenings.
The Spyway is known for its beautiful views of the west Dorset countryside
Eight different artists are booked in so far over the coming weeks, showcasing a mix of folk, country, rock n roll and pop.
Music will kick off at about 5pm and will last a few hours.
As featured in the News, the much-loved pub was taken on and re-launched at the end of February by Louise and Dave Compton.
Speaking to the News at the time, Louise promised her background in events would come to the fore as the couple made plans for the new-look pub.
The sessions will continue throughout summer, with further acts to be confirmed.
Louise said: "We’re really excited to be kicking off with Lost Souls. We’ve got eight different artists locked in to date showcasing folk, country, rock n roll and pop. A bit of something for everyone.
"There will be a great selection of local beers, ales and ciders – perfect for kicking back and listening to some great local artists with.
"Obviously everything is weather dependent so we’re keeping everything crossed for sunshine!"
Dave and Louise plan to offer a BBQ menu in the garden plus a variety of sharing boards.
