Hundreds of homes experienced power cuts tonight last night.
More than 700 addresses across parts of Dorchester and west Dorset, towards Bridport, were said to be experiencing issues.
According to network SSEN, a fault is affecting 752 customers across 74 postcodes and an engineer was working to restore power.
It was hoping to fix the problem by 2am.
The company apologised for the loss of supply.
