A MAN has appeared in court charged with a host of offences - including sexual assault, stalking, and hat theft.
Adam Jonothan Beales, 45 and of Gundry Lane in Bridport, appeared before Poole Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 16, where he was remanded on bail with the condition not to enter East Street, South Street, or West Street.
He has been charged with stalking, sexual assault, three counts of assault, three counts of theft and four counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
Beales is accused of sexually assaulting a woman, in Bridport, between June 1 and August 1 of last year: he is also accused of stalking the same woman over a three year period by ‘constantly loitering near to their workplace and harassing them’.
He is also alleged to have stolen £10 from a tip jap at Costa Coffee, also in Bridport, on February 8 this year. The day before he is alleged to have stolen an energy drink, a hot food item whilst it is said that he stole a hat on February 11.
Beales entered no pleas and will next appear before Poole Magistrates’ Court on April 17.
