Tuck into tasty ice cream this weekend and help support a crucial cause.

Tomorrow, Baboo Gelato will donate ALL proceeds from its West Bay, Lyme Regis and Swanage outlets to the victims of the devastating Turkey-Syria earthquakes.

The Dorset gelato brand is supporting the Disasters Emergency Committee's Turkey- Syria Earthquake Appeal.

A series of devastating earthquakes have hit southern Turkey and north-west Syria, killing more than 50,000 people and injuring many more.

More than 54,000 buildings, including hospitals and schools, have been destroyed or damaged. People have been left without shelter in freezing winter conditions and in need of urgent aid.

Annie Hanbury, founder of Baboo Gelato, said: "Please do come and support this fundraising and help families who have lost everything.

"Although the British people have been incredibly generous already, the misery and disruption to these innocent people’s lives continues.

"There is still a long way to go to help them to rebuild a semblance of their lives in freezing weather with no housing."

Last year, the company raised an amazing £3,920 for the Ukraine Emergency Appeal and it hoping to top that with Sunday's fundraiser.

"We would love to beat that this year," said Annie. "Come to our kiosks, buy an ice cream and help!"
