TWO new managers have been appointed at the Bridport Museum.
Sophie Bull and Helen Horler have been appointed joint managers of the museum trust after former director Emily Hicks departed earlier this year.
The pair are familiar faces to the museum with Sophie previously holding the position of the museum trust's volunteer manager and Helen having provided consultancy services for the trust over the last five years.
Together they both have a passion for supporting the organisation with over 40 years of experience in museums and heritage.
Professor Karen Hunt, Chair of Bridport Museum Trust said: "We are excited that Sophie and Helen are joining the Trust and their partnership will be a crucial part of this next chapter for Bridport Museum and the Local History Centre.
"We all look forward to its next stage uncovering hidden treasures from the stores and creating stimulating visitor experiences for our communities for the next 90 years."
The museum is offering unlimited visits for a year for just £5 for an adult pass with free entrance for carers and people under 21.
Bridport Museum, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year having first opened its doors 1932, is seeking to expand its team of volunteers and welcomes enquiries about its variety of volunteer roles so if you are interested to hear more contact managers@bridportmuseum.co.uk, online at www.bridportmuseum.co.uk or via telephone 01308 458703
