Two Dorset hotels have been named among one the best establishments in England to get a Christmas lunch.

The Nici in Bournemouth and the Summer Lodge in Evershot were among the 52 hotels named on the list by Muddy Stilettos.

On their web page for the list, Muddy Stilettos wrote: "Ditch the Christmas morning stress and let someone else baste the turkey for you, with these lip-smacking festive lunches with overnighter options across the Muddy counties. But be quick – they’ll get snatched up faster than the last Quality Street!"

Muddy Stilettos wrote: "Come for Christmas Day lunch Miami-style at this newly refurbed hotel with an Art Deco vibe perched on West Cliff, Bournemouth. There’s fizz when you arrive and a festive five-courser with all the trimmings in the South Beach restaurant." 

Christmas Day lunch is £120 for adults and £60 for children, with Muddy Stilettos recommending looking around the Alpine market and Christmas Tree Wonderland afterwards.

The Nici is also well-reviewed on Tripadvisor, earning a 4.5/5 score from 552 reviews.

Summer Lodge

Muddy Stilettos described the Summer Lodge as "a fabulous place to dine and stay all year round" with it being "especially wonderful at Christmas".

Festive afternoon teas are available up until Friday, December 23 along with a three-course dinner on Christmas Eve, a five-course Christmas lunch and a Boxing Day brunch.

Summer Lodge is also well-reviewed on Tripadvisor, with a score of 5/5 from 1,276 ratings.
