A fireworks display will be returning once more to a cricket club with more than £1,000 worth of fireworks.

The annual fireworks display at Broadwindsor Cricket Club will take place at 7pm on Friday, November 4. Entry will be free from 5.30pm, and there will be drinks, burgers and sausages served from then until all is consumed.

Last year saw 500 people come for a spectacular show, and this year promises to be even better.

More than £1,000 worth of fireworks will light up the skies for half an hour in the display, which is sponsored by Symonds & Sampson, Broadwindsor House, Cllr Simon Christopher and Clive Stafford-Smith.

The event is a fundraiser for Bernard's Place Renovation (Broadwindsor Village Green Appeal) and the cricket club.

Long-time Club Captain Ade Phillips said: “We are really pleased to be hosting this event again, as part of our collaboration with the village.

“We hope to raise a few pounds to help pay for the solar panels powering the pavilion, and also the play area for the kids.”

There is disabled parking near the ground. In case of bad weather, it may be held on Saturday or Sunday.
