A man has been sent to jail after a ‘flagrant’ breach of a non-molestation order.

Bradley George Loveless, whose address was given as The Beeches, Beaminster, appeared before Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, October 13 for sentencing.

He pleaded guilty to one charge of breaching a non-molestation order. On November 29, 2021, Loveless entered the rear garden of an address in Bridport which he was prohibited from doing after a non-molestation order had been made in August 2020.

Loveless, 35, was previously given a suspended sentence after attempting to enter the same property just two months after the non-molestation order first came into effect.

Loveless received a four month jail sentence with the court saying the offence was “so serious because the defendant has a flagrant disregard for court orders, because the offence was committed during (the) period of a suspended sentence.”

He also received a two year restraining order, lasting until October 12, 2024, was ordered to pay a surcharge of £129 to fund victim services and to pay £85 in costs.

For committing a further offence whilst subject to a suspended sentence, the initial sentence of ten weeks was imposed to be served concurrently.

The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.

A non-molestation order is aimed at preventing someone from using or threatening violence, intimidating, harassing or pestering a named list of individuals.
