LATEST: two people in hospital after 'serious crash'
A main road in Dorset is closed after a multi-vehicle crash.
The A35 Dorchester Road Wesbound is currently closed Litton Lane (Askerswell) to the West Compton turn off (Kingston Russell).
Traffic is being affected between Bridport and Dorchester.
The road had previously been closed in both directions for around an hour and a half with the Eastbound carriageway opening shortly before 4.15pm.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 2.45pm on Wednesday 14 September 2022 to a report of a two vehicle collision on the A35 near to the junction with White Way.
"Officers in attendance with ambulance. The road is closed between Winterbourne Abbas and Litton Cheney."
