Motorists are experience lengthy queues and heavy delays on the A35.
Electricity work is being carried out near to the Esso Garage and Coombe Road in Winterbourne Abbas.
Temporary lights are in place as a result with one lane closed.
One motorist said "it's manic".
Queues and delays are being experienced from Coombe Road back towards Longland's Lane.
