There is just a short time left to help shape investment proposals for Bridport.

Bridport Town Council is working with local businesses to develop an investment plan for the town. The plan will form the basis for funding bids to improve the Town Centre and support local businesses in undertaking the transition to a net zero future.

Throughout July and August an online questionnaire has been available to gather investment proposals for consideration. The online questionnaire closes on August 30.

In September, Bridport Town Council will host a series of open meetings at the LSI, primarily for local business interests, to share the responses to the online questionnaire, discuss investment priorities and agree how an Investment Plan for Bridport can be used to lever in funding.

Proposed meeting schedule and theme:

• Wednesday, September 7 –exploring jobs, skills and technology needs;

• Thursday, September 8 – investing in transport, access and movement;

• Wednesday, September 14 – exploring the arts, heritage and cultural offer of Bridport;

• Thursday, September 15–investing in the environment & local food.

All investment sessions will open at 5pm for viewing of questionnaire output together with more information about some of the investment ideas– at 5.45pm there will be a short presentation about the investment plan followed by a Q&A on the selected theme. Meetings will close at 6.30pm.

All meetings will be held at the LSI, East Street, Bridport with light refreshments available from 5pm.
