A motorcyclist has come forward following a reported fail-to-stop injury collision in Portesham.

As reported, emergency services were called to the coast road at Portesham at around 11.30am on Sunday (August 14) to reports of a road traffic collision.

The incident, on the B3157 at Goose Hill, involved two motorcycles that were travelling westbound toward Abbotsbury. 

It is reported that the rider of one of the motorcycles failed to stop at the scene.

Following enquiries, a male motorcyclist has come forward and is helping with enquiries.

No arrests have been made.

The rider of the other motorcycle, a man aged in his 20s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police Constable Gavin Newbury, of the traffic unit, said: “We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision and would urge anyone with information to please get in touch.”
