As the heatwave battles on, firefighters are dealing with a ‘significant’ number of incidents as they admit the last few days have been challenging.
This comes as temperatures continue to soar across the county, leaving emergency services stretched.
A spokesperson for Dorchester Fire Station said: “We have had a very challenging few days with our control staff taking many 999 calls and dealing with a significant number of large incidents.
“Resources have been stretched across the area and we want to say a huge well done to everyone for continuing to work hard to keep communities safe.
“Please take care this weekend to help us and our 999 colleagues everywhere and stay hydrated!”
