Road users across Dorset warned about dangers of agricultural vehicles
ROAD users are being warned about an increase of agricultural vehicles during the summer months across Dorset.
Dorset Police are urging motorists and cyclists to be more vigilant when driving along rural roads across the county and look out for vehicles such as tractors.
According to police, 60 per cent of people killed during roads incidents in Britain, die in rural areas.
Police also said that 25 per cent of drivers have had a near miss on a country road, while 40 per cent have been surprised by an unexpected hazard, such as an animal.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: "All road users, including motorcyclists and cyclists, need to look out for agricultural vehicles - especially at this time of year."
