A BRIDPORT woman must pay a court bill of almost £250 after being caught speeding eight miles an hour above the limit.
Tanyia Hughes, aged 47, of West Road, was behind the wheel of a grey Audi on June 30 last year and was clocked travelling at 38mph on the A3066 Beaminster Road, Bradpole. The speed limit along that stretch of road is 30mph.
At Weymouth Magistrates Court on June 14, she admitted exceeding a 30mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order.
The defendant's guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.
Hughes was fined £100, must pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34, and court costs of £110 - totalling £244.
Her driving record was also endorsed with three penalty points.
