POLICE are appealing for help from the public to find an 'easily confused' elderly man who has gone missing from West Dorset.

Colin Berry, 82, was reported missing at 7.11am on Monday 13 June 2022 and is believed to have left an address off the B3165 in Marshwood overnight.

He is described as being white, five feet 11 inches tall, slim, with white hair and wears glasses. He has a number of marks on his head and forehead from a recent fall. He is likely to be wearing a green dressing gown, pyjamas and carrying a blue rucksack.

Chief Inspector Jamie Clark, of Dorset Police, said: “We understand Colin is confused easily and we are very concerned for his welfare and are carrying out searches to try and locate him as soon as possible.

“It is possible that Colin may have found somewhere to shelter overnight, so I would ask people to please check their outbuildings.

“If you have seen Colin, or a man matching the description given, please contact us immediately.

“Finally, I would like to appeal directly to Colin if you see this – please make contact with us or your family and let us know where you are as we just want to make sure you are all right.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Colin’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk/contact, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 13:58.
