POLICE are warning people across Dorset of controlling and coercive behaviour.

Police are raising awareness of controlling and coercive behaviour as part of the Cut Your Strings campaign, which is urging victims help is out there.

Major warning signs of controlling and coercive behaviour is when serious threats are made in order to controlling and manipulate behaviour, tracking movements and monitor electronic devices, or it could include isolate a victim from their friends, family or interests.

A spokeswoman from Dorset Police said: "It is domestic abuse. It is illegal.

"Don’t suffer abuse, cut your strings and get help now."
