Three women in art are to display their work at Eype Centre for the Arts in an exhibition called Card, Chalk and Clay.

Jenny Penney, Caroline Ireland and Naya Downes will exhibit three disciplines of art inspired by Dorset's fabulous countryside, coast and home-life.

The exhibition begins on Saturday, April 30 and continues until Sunday, May 8.

Jenny, Caroline and Naya all made a conscious decision to redirect their career paths.

Jenny is influenced from her love of the countryside and coastline, inherited through 25 years working in countryside management in Dorset.

She creates meticulous 'relief landscapes' with card, cut only with a scalpel.

Caroline's 10 years plus in archaeology gives her a great background in structure and elegance. Whilst she is renowned for her highly colourful, thought provoking paintings, her new exhibition shifts the medium to chalk pastels, still creating a heaven of colour and texture to portray her 'everyday' still life compositions.

Naya's sensitive porcelain pottery captures the wildness of life along the shoreline and coastal images in a visual and tactile manner that makes you want to hold one.

The exhibition will be open daily between 10am and 5pm.
